Dear Mr. Baseman,
I hope that YOU receive this, and not a secretary or something, but if so, please O please forward to Gary. I am an illustration major at Columbia College in Chicago. I am a strong appreciator of your artwork and love everything that you do. If I was in an unsatisfying relationship, I would ask you out on a date. However, for the record, would you go out on a date with me? If you went out with me, it would consist of a picnic in a cemetery at dusk, followed by coming over to my house where we will make animal masks for each other while drinking wine(its ok, im 21)and then MAKE-OUT! woot woot!!

The main reason I was writing you was in regards to my visit to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. When I went to the MCA gift shop I was ecstatic to see authentic Gary Baseman coin purses. They were sooo cute, I had to have one! However, when I saw the price, I was astonished, they were $35! I find it difficult to believe that the production costs of such a simple item would be so expensive? Why Gary? I’m an average college student and I found it difficult to afford. So, to much dismay, I had to pass on the cherished item I so intensely coveted for my loose pennies and tampons. So, I think it would be of great importance and moral responsibility if you request the MCA to sell your item for a reasonable price($12?) or better yet, make the item available on your website and lets cut out the middle-man (MCA).

Also, I would like to request your mailing address so that I may send you one of my drawings? I’m sure you are a busy man, but if you would like to send me a little doodle on a napkin or piece of toilet paper even, then that would make my day! I love you.
